A technical beast
Tech Fleece debuted with Nike’s fall/winter collection in 2013 as a tri-layer fabric comprised of a foam core sandwiched between layers of smooth jersey. This modern construction has given the garments a sleek, streamlined look that underscores their importance in any athlete’s wardrobe. And it’s made these pieces lighter, warmer, and more breathable than any before.
Articulated sleeves are designed to enhance your movement. And even the stitching got an overhaul, as designers restructured silhouettes to reduce overall top-stitching and seaming. Nike also replaced the then-traditional ribbed cuffs with black elastic micro binding for a more snug fit and an updated aesthetic.
